1st gear synchro?

So as I posted before I have an 89' and 92' supercoupe. My 92' is a 5 speed and just had a new clutch assembly. But after getting my car back I found that my 1st gear grinds when downshifting from 2nd from over 5mph. If I got slow or come to a stop it sometimes will shift with no grinding. The guy that installing my clutch has told me that it is the 1st gear synchro, which needs to be replaced. It is a brass gear and he said that he can only order the whole 1st-through 5th synchro assembly and just not the 1st gear it's self. I wanted to know if many someone knew where I could buy just this one part? I know of spinning wheels and performance parts....etc. But I don’t' think they have just this one part. Does anyone know of anyone in the Michigan (Kalamazoo - Detroit) area that could help?
