Got me a 35th 5 speed to restore :)

After a two month waiting period on the other 35th I was going to buy I finally gave up and found another 35th 5 speed. I picked the car up this morning in Ft. Lauderdale with Rick and his son. It is a 90 35th 5 speed, one owner, original paint, all promotional materials including 2 sets of 35th keys, NEW unused 35th floor mats still in bag, all emblems, centercaps, door panels, and trunk mat. It is a 5 speed with 109K and needs minor work to be a really nice car, no rust, no major dents, just a straight, clean 5 speed.

Here are pics of the car from this AM when we picked it up and now at home with its twin brother :)

Thanks again to Rick, could not have done this without you bro! :)

Man that was fast! .....Soooooooooooo....you did get them both in there :D

don't mention it...Me and Stephen had a great time too.... ;)

Actually restore would be a little overkill....just detail up is more like it...that car is as clean in person as the pics.... :p

Looks good Nick, I'll have to see her in person some day. Wish mine came with all the anniversary goodies!

Nice score Nick. Look forward to seeing it in person! Any time you can purchase a 15 year old car from the original owner is definitely a plus :)

Nick, nice buy... As Bryan said always nice to buy from the original owner, that’s what I did with the 93. I have a 35th. car cover with tote bag if you need it let me know. Bought it awhile ago, looks like it's been used just a couple of times. Did you sell the 924?

Thanks Bryan, I have wanted a 35th for a long time. This is a perfect beginning for a resto!

Flip, you rule bro. I can't wait till you get back now...LOL

I have always liked the 35th anniversary model. I had a 30th anniversary 85 Tbird before I purchased the 89 SC. The first SC I took on an overnight test drive was a 35th auto. Put like 120 miles on it... the dealer wasn't too happy when I returned it the next morning:D Especially when I told them it was a no sale!

Well, got alot done tonight. I got the car on jack stands and the teardown has begun. I have got the complete interior out of the car and going to get redone tomorrow. I have a really good guy which I have used before. He is going to re-do the two ft seats, 60/40 split and rear seat bottom on leather, suede and blue piping for $500.

I am going to do the HG's on the car while I have the interior out, hence the hood is off and the teardown of the motor has begun. I will paint every bracket, bolt, washer, ect so when I put this car back together it will look better than new.

Luckly, the body is perfect and needs nothing but a good buffing and detailing. I am sending the wheels out this week to be re-finished at a cost of $125 a wheel. I know it seems like it is kind of expensive but, these guys do an awsome job and I am sure they will not destroy the 35th emblems in the centercaps.

In about 2-3 months, this will be one nice 35th for sure!
