    What is this plug for?

    ok i found this crazy ~~~ plug and i dont know what it is

    this cable was ran under the dash then i found out that it runs towards the back of the car. what the hell does it do?

    my personall opinion is this..


    It looks like a phone jack...

    Possibly someone (in the past) had a Cell phone in the car..

    You know the ones that were actually mounted in the car.. some of you may not remember them... but I think this is the wire that connected the brain of the phone (located in the trunk) to the handset up front...

    This is just a wild guess of course...

    when i was looking at it i thought it looked like and ether cable the end i think is a cat5
