Stock mufflers. How restrictive. Any Gains?

Stock mufflers. How restrictive. Any Gains?

Just wondering. Having my stock mufflers replaced (already have high flo res and high flow cats a 2.5 inch down tubes)...Is there any other gains to be made from my soon to be replaced mufflers? Or isn't it substantial?

I think the resonator and cats are the 1-2 choice for restiction in the exhaust.by the time the exhaust cools(at the end of the car)the restiction is minimal.

Well i got those dynomax muffs and magnaflow res on and it sounds awesome. little drony but I will get used to it I suppose. My car kinda ran poorly at first with the newly installed exhaust. Any reason why this might be? after driving it a couple times its fine now....

It might be that you had to retrain the brain box again. It maybe had to reset itself after the change in back pressure,just an idea....Rich
