I'm was installing my neighbors new radio in his SC (91), got everything wired up correctly, but his red wire (12v+ I believe) isn't hot(testlight)... What should I start checking?

1.) fuses (which ones?)
...thats all I can think of...

if I run a new wire from the battery to the radio(I think that's safe/correct) would I run the risk of burning it out?

thanks.

You can run a new wire from the battery without any problems at all. Just make sure you add an inline fuse or fuseable link. 25 or 30 amp should work fine for the radio.

there is a memory fuse in the fusebox out by the battery make sure it is ok if it is blown radio will not work and engine control module wont remember settings might make it idle up and down
