I need one!

I still see a good number of SCs around. The problem is finding a clean one that hasnt been beaten to hell and back. I generally see some decent ones on e-bay. You can try there or here on the cars for sale forum. Good luck!

I LIKE mine Rare~

This is just a theory... but here is why I think they are so rare......
SC's have so much more trick stuff on them than a regular T-Bird LX!

Four-Wheel Disc, IRS, Adjustable Suspension, Speed-sensitive Steering,
Wide Alloy Rims, Aerodynamic Kits,8-way Power Leather Seats, 60-40 Fold-down Rear Seats, Supercharger, Intercooler, V6 Engine Parts different from any other Ford V6 ever made.....the list goes on and on!

SC's were made to test ideas and promote the Thunderbird as a true performance vehicle.
I think >>>they COST Ford more to make, than they sold for.<<<
Ford LOST money on every one of them.

But....1) They got Car Of The Year in '89!
2) They proved that supercharging on a production car WORKED!
3) They sold MORE "regular" Thunderbirds because of them!

Thats why they dropped the SC in '95, and didn't make them in 96 or 97.

They also allowed Ford to develop the Lightning and the GT-40, based on what they learned from the SC. It improved the entire Ford image during important years. Ford never wanted the SC to outdo the Mustang, but they did in every way! They are more popular now, ten years later, than when they were new!
>>>>All of these things add up to why SC's are so rare!<<<<<
