Is there some way to hone out the stock throttle body to larger specs? I want to do this to save some money.

Im sure you could, but youd have to machine a new throttle plate. If it wasnt done right your idle quality would be way off.

It would be a waste of time. If you get a MPII or MPIII inlet the TB would be too small, if you port the TB on a stock inlet plenum you would be choked down by the plenum. You're better off just buying a new TB.

I ordered the satin TB off of ebay a week ago. I had 2 minor issues with it. One was the bolt holes were alittle too small but nothing a drill bit could handle. Second was the idle. Even with messing with the little stop screw I couldnt get it to go down. Other then that no problems. Works like a champ! I ordered it monday and got it in on friday. Now I just have to do alittle porting to the plenum.
