Engine Lag

I was keeping up with a 2000 Mustang GT the other day until around 130mph. My engine cut back and dropped down to 125mph. The rpms stayed around 4,000 but wouldn't climb back up. Does anyone know what this could be?:confused:
 
I've never had a problem with speed limiters before. I've had 5 SC and never once been limited to 130. I've been able to go well above that. How much for a chip?

You have a couple choices at this point if you want your speed limiter removed.

1. You can buy a computer chip and have it generically burnt to the specs of your car and the performance mods you have.

2. You can have someone tune your car on a dyno to the exact specs of YOUR vehicle which is the best way, but costs more.

If ya love the car, get it dyno-tuned. If you like it buy a chip. Either way, good bye speed limiter.

I have seen XR7Dave tune sc's, he does a fine job. Knows these cars very well.
