Do you have the resonator on it?

+1

Years ago I had the Flowmaster Cat-back system with resonator and catless downtubes. It didn't sound ricey at all with the resonator, but it definitely was louder; and especially louder without the cats. (I had made 2 sets of downtubes that I could swap in my driveway in about an hour...one with cats and one without. The catless was definitely louder).

Yeah, I have the 'Flowmaster' resonator and the 'Flowmaster Force-II' cat-back system. It comes with 40-series mufflers.
If I change the mufflers, will that improve the sound? If so, what muffs do you guys suggest?
It doesn't have to be loud, just a nice deep tone is all I'm looking for.

Me too. I want that late 80's era GM 3.8L car sound. I have to admit GM had the perfect V6 growl on their cars in the late 80's. I wish i knew what the heck they put on their cars. That's the exact sound i'm looking for.

My friend has Flowmasters on his SC...in my opinion it sounds terrible. I may skip the mufflers all together and do just resonators...like the Neon SRT-4's.
