Power window fix

Here's some insight I have....

My drivers side power window has come un-glued from the clips about 4-5 times.
The root cause was the inner and outer weather stripping along the bottom of the window. They are felt coated on the glass side to allow the window to slide easily. The felt wore off mine, thus becoming giant rubber squeegees. The window would go up and down quickly when the car was wet, but when it was dry, the window would drag thus putting excess load on the glue, and pop, it would come apart again.
I replaced both weatherstrips. 75.00 for one and 45.00 for the other. I also used a bit of silicone spray lube on the big piece that goes down inside the door.
The rear track rotted off too. That was 35.00 new from Ford.
Haven't had any trouble since I replaced the weatherstrips.
The inner one just lifts off once the door skin is removed, the outer one does too once you remove the small screw inside the door.
Keeping the resistance down, should put less stress on the window motors and gears too!
