    Good thinking, I'd change this, screw the 5-speed.... C4 auto, 3500 stall, trans brake, 4.10's, et street radials, 4" down pipe, and an esslinger head w/ ranger roller cam. I'd get a new exhaust manifold and run a bigger turbo, cuz with the stall and trans brake, it will spool, and you'll need a front mount. I'd put some 15x3's up front and some 15x8's out back weld pro-stars.

    easy low 12's.

    Now put that Ford 2.3L Turbo motor with the C4 in a PINTO!!!!!!!!!!...7-8 grand US and run 10.7s all day long..seen it done in HOTROD MAG..

    03-04 cobra, not exactly sure what they go for, there's a tuned one that made about 450rwhp for sale for $24K, or a stocker that you can drop in a kenne bell to will give you rediculous numbers and just eat whole pretty much anything on the street.

    Or get a porsche 924? I think it is or Datsun 280Z, and throw in a 350. Those cars are rediculous.

    do this...get a fox hatch or coupe...86-93 efi... do an H/C/I 347 throw a 100 shot on it..you got an EASY 450 hp car for WAY UNDER 10k then put a grand in the rear end...get a tko 600... do a nice MM suspension torque boxes is a first thing to do..sub frames....next get it painted BLACK ok get some pony wheels...sleeper looking on the out side.. FOR UNDER 20K you got your self one hell of a car that will eat just about anything you run into.oh and invest in some drag radials..dont do any of that bull ~~~~ roll racing..thats for imports...traction is a big thing on the streets that will make or break ya.

    The only way up from the sc is an 04 mustang cobra terminator. or an sc with a terminator engine, you can boost those motors to 1000hp with boost alone. Its been done. Would be even sicker in an sc.. My brother had an 04 cobra he picked up for 13k, mystichrome with the t56 6 spped. Lsd, irs, its a super, super coupe that dusted 300hp Subaru's on Cobb tuning and all. Stick with ford if you love 0-60 vs the ricers. Even on the rolls you will dust em.

    If you take the second quote and put it into the first one it will be as fast as a fox. I went 331 route though and went 12.91@111.67 on street tires. Drag radials had it consistent 8.2@87 1/8 mile, or a low to mid 12. That is a fully built car with lota of good parts. I also have a 95 GT that jas lots of cheap parts on it. I haven't had it to the track in over a year and since i got most of the issues resolved with it it went 9.17@79 in the 1/8 or a low 14. Now with drag radials i suspect i could get it close to the 12's. Add bottle and still be into for less than 10k.

    The 94-95 modela are tons cheaper than the foxes right now. Foxes are either over priced or beatup and over priced right now. The only difference between the 94-95 and the fox is a bit of extra weight from a slightly stiffer chassis and extra creature comforts. Once you understand the computer in the 94-95 then the engine will make the same power as any fox. All fox parts will also swap over to the 94-95's too aiding cheap replacement parts. And you get better brakes to boot. My GT is currently for sale. Add bottle and be well under 10k and whoop some booty.
