    IAC valve?

    where is the IAC valve and what does it do? what are the symptoms of one going bad?

    It is located on the side of the throttle body. It is the black thing. It is what controls your idle and I beleive there is no adjustment for it. From all the syptoms I have read about, when your idle shoots up to 2000 + RPM's, chances are it is bad. Also, when you turm your car off, it can make the sound of a "dying goose"
