Relocation of FPR

Stupid Canuck

I plan to install an adjustable FPR but the stock location, mostly underneath the return plenum, makes that impractical. Even drilling a hole through the cowl for access would still be blind and awkward. I'm thinking of using extra lengths of Aeroquip hose for both the supply side of the loops and the return and moving the FPR five inches from the rear inside head to the outside and probably a spacer for clearance. That would place it behind the valve cover (we do have those) and with an option of going two inches higher. The heads have 2 other identically tapped holes to choose from but I could also build a bracket to go even further.

I'm hoping that it wouldn't affect the balance of the fuel rail and can't see how it would because the FPR is basically used as a pressure relief valve.

Any words of warning from the wise?

The attached picture from MN12 performance might help.
