Thats a throw out bearing and teh 94-95 are pretty slow because of thw extra weight over a fox body...They can however be modded!
They don't call me "SLOWPOKE" for nothin!

How long you think it has to live if the thing is squeeking like that??

Car has a cobra-r hood 2" drop springs and new polished centerline wheels. 2 new tires and 2 tires that need replacing.. It needs repainted bad.. Somone keyed a fender and it has a nice dent in the driver quarter panel, Has new exhaust from the motor back new brakes and fresh tune-up. Runs very strong gets pretty loose in 2nd gear... Also has some bubles in the paint on the roof.. As i said it needs some body work on the quarter and a re-paint. I know a guy that would do it for 1000$ or less... guy wants $2800 for the car I thought about offering $2000 since its a project.. Ac works.. Check engine light is one and it has a slight surge at idle (my OBD I code reader took a crap so i didnt get to check the code) but he claims that he had it checked and it was a vacuum leak on somthing? car is stock other than a CAI the lowering springs and a strut tower brace.. Would it even be worth 2000? As i said it needs repainted.. Also the rear-spoiler eaither wasnt there to begin with or was took off for some gay reason...So that needs replaced.. Also the power driver seat isnt working (figure $50 in parts from pick and pull) I dunno if its worth messing with.. I LOVE the 5.0 and it runs cicles around any 4.6 stang i've drove (other than the cobra)...

Also the loan value is $3500 so im wondering if i can get everything straightened out for $1500 and have a good mustang or if i should walk away.. I need to find a GT in the sub 5000 price range and it has to be loan value or less...

I like them better without the rear spoiler. Gives it the Bullitt look. But the right set of wheels are critical.

    What color is it?

I have seen many fox 5.0 stangs drive around 4.6 gt's. You can't really beat the weight, the parts galore and the price to upgrade. I had an 88 gt and a 2000 gt. The 88 was stock and pretty slow. The 2000 had a few mods and would only run high 8's in the 1/8 on street tires. For the price range I would stay with the 88 to 93 5.0's. If you can find a notch for that price and it is in good shape, buy that.

Here is the deal on that.. I love 5.0's and like fox bodys just as much as a sn95 if not more but the wife hates fox bodys... Plus they have no loan value whatsoever anymore.. I will say that the 5.0 i drove had more power than my SC ever had and would absolutely spank it like a littlle baby and it was pretty much stock.. Might have had gears and thats it. Anyway the guy wants to much for it for it needing a paint job and body work so screw it.. Found this today

99 gt auto 130k runs and drives good has a bottom end rattle??? (going to have to check on that) for only $3500 (what he owes on it)! I thinking buy it fix it sell it buy a 5speed car... (nada in lowest condition is 10,500 on this) how much trouble is it to pull a motor on one of those? Also can you do bearings with the motor in the car?? How much does a used motor run in a worse case scenario? If i could buy it and fix it for around 5k sell it for 9/10k buy a nicer mustang...

People usually base that on feeling alone.A 5.0 that's stock has better feeling low end punch than a stock 4.6PI,but,signs off earlier than the 4.6PI motor. The Levi button fly dyno is very inaccurate. The 4.6 is also a much stronger built engine than a 5.0.It will take far more abuse.

With the list of mods you've got you should eat a stock 5.0 alive. My SC has a stock engine ,heads and cam, with all MP stuff available(don't have the MPX installed yet),but, with MPII a stock 5.0 is no challenge at all. They feel good off of idle ,but, unless they've got something done they aren't that fast.

I'd say that squalling noise is the TOB. I have a 95GT and its been making noise for probably 4months by now. It hasn't gotten any worse and I've been beating the crap out of the car and its stayed the same. Put 410s in a 9495 and it will give you the impression of being fast becasue it will feel fast just don't race anyone especially civics they will kill you. 4.6s on the otherhand are not my cup of tea unless its a cobra. I would get a 96-98 cobra in a heartbeat I just don't like the 99+ bodystyle too much and the 94-98s have almost the same interior.

Nothing personal Jake, but if you have to ask about pulling the engine, you should probably leave it alone. They are not tough, but if you are trying to turn a profit and go, you may want somethin more of a "bolt on" fix than this. If his bottom end is rattling, it could be several things. Engine, tranny, flex plate, crank hitting the pan. All in all, it needs better diag (possibly ran too much n20 and funked up the bottom end). The "B" headed engine will fit, but it wont "work" if that makes sence. It will bolt in but wont run. It will need different tunes and fuel systems since the 99 is a returnless setup and the "B" headed system requires a return line.
