These pictures show that the body is nice and straight and in very good shape.....

I also included a few pictures of why the interior needs to be replaced.....

Thanks for the great pictures. If possible, I'd like to see some of the floorpans and the part of the door bottoms that you can see when the doors are open. Does the interior get wet when it rains? I had the plastic cowl pieces off mine one time and had water come in down the sides by the kick panels.
Also, I see the instrument cluster is missing along with the grill, and headlights. What other parts are missing?
    Thanks,
    Kurt

Here are some pictures of the bottom of the doors and body.....

I have a spare instrument cluster that will go with the car.....

The engine is complete, the only thing I have removed is the DIS to have it tested.....

Other than that, I haven't removed anything from this car....

It is missing the top cover that holds the shifter arm in place, it was missing when I picked the car up.....

I noticed that there has been a slight water leak from the DS upper edge of the windshield, but no rust on the DS floor pan....

I also noticed that it has a build date of 6-89.....

I thought it was a 90 all this time......

Boy things were looking good until that last picture.Looks like some rust issues there, I guess from a clogged moonroof drain? Let me know if I'm mistaken(I hope) and not seeing what I think I'm seeing.

Yes, a better picture of the same area that the last picture shows would be great. And maybe some of the floorpans? To me it looked like there was a cut in the metal above the plastic circle, maybe it's just a clean spot? And I thought the area just below the sill plate had some bubbling.
    Thank,
    Kurt

I'm always looking for THE right XR7, I thought I almost had it once but it didn't have a moonroof. You know thinking about your car makes me think I could live with a Red one if it had everything else I wanted. Maybe I should revise my post.
Has your friend made any progress on your old Cougar?
I hear it's a nice time of year to visit Kansas.

It's his daily driver and he absolutely loves it. He's not much of a car guru; he keeps saying that he's going to drop a V8 in it. I just keep telling him he doesn’t know what he's talking about and that he can squeeze a lot of HP out of this block. lol, yea I bet Chris is wishing he was going for pleasure instead of business. Red isn't so bad, we found out the hard way that it's a cop magnet but what isn't when traveling 140mph down I-70

I just noticed the new pictures! I was checking the thread that day on my phone with the email notification so I guess it skipped that one. I've just been going to the bottom looking for new posts.
Anyhow that looks much better, just like the rest of the body.
Is the underneath nice clean metal like that or does it have any spots or undercoating on it? If you can't get pictures I'll just take your word for it.
