SC Radiator Tank Ends- Plastic or brass?

So I'm thinking of getting a rebuilt radiator for my SC. I've got a 95 and it has the plastic radiator. I understand that these can't be properly rebuilt, but ones with Brass tank ends can. Someone posted that the radiator on the 89 has brass tanks. So I started looking at the specifications available here:

http://www.sccoa.com/articles/scspecs.php

And checked the radiator material used for each years radiator end tanks. According to these documents, the SC used Brass up until 94. Is this true? I read all the time of people complaining about the plastic radiators in their cars, so something funny is going on here....

What year cars do you have and did it come with plastic or brass?

The research I done on the radiators before I started building rads for the SC indicated that yes in 94 they switched to the plastic tanks with an Aluminum core. Usually the plastic tanks can be removed 1 time only for repairs. However getting them to reseal after being removed is not real successfull and in talking to many rad shops they wont even try it.

My 1990 tanks are made from a mixture of copper & zinc.

From the info gathered over the years:

http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthre...threadid=14670

Looks like 89-92 had brass and 93-95 had plastic tanks on the rad.

Just bought a replacement for my 91 brass tank. Actually it's a long story and I won't bother you with it.
The first replacement one they offered up was a plastic tank job, But after bitching just a little the radiator shop was able to hunt me down a new brass tanked replacement. So they exist, it just takes a bit of work on the part of the radiator shop to hunt them down.

Radiator Express

They sale brass replacements for all year SC's. Several on here, including myself, have purchased from them and they always get high marks. They were a pleasure to deal with. Ordered online and in no time it was being shipped.

Might want to do a search here as I think someone posted that they were saleing on Ebay the same radiators as they do on their site for about $20-40 cheaper.
