Anyone intrested in a motor mount alternative?

Over on the www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com we had started a discussion about how hard the stock 5.0 motor plates were to get ahold of. After looking into it and taking some measurements, one of the boards members decided to make a set. Now this guy is what I would call a master fabricator. He has made a similar setup for the TurboCoupe guys and now is intrested in doing some for you SuperCoupe guys. Everyone on the fox board that orderd from him has had nothing but good things to say about the motor mounts. So let me know what you guys think about this, maybe we can get the ball rolling in your favor.

Here are some pics of the mounts he fabed up for our 5.0 foxes. The mn12's I beleive use the same motor mounts as the fox Cougar/Birds. Anything he would build for the SC's would be just this heavy duty.

Is that steel or poly as an isolator? The only concern I would have would be vibration transmision that may interfere with the knock sensor

I would be interested in buying a set if they are a direct bolt in for the SC.

The isolator is a poly peice. There have been no problems with the knock sensor on the TC's at least.

Yes those in the picture are for a 5.0. I have the set of brackets of my sc 3.8 in the mail on the way to the guy so he can get a prototype designed.

Great! Now hopefully we can get enough people together to get a batch made.

I may be interested too. My mounts are shot and need replacing. Any idea on price and when they would be available?

I need to get my spare set of motor mounts out to the guy. I'm not sure how long it will take to get them done. I'll contact him in the morning and find out.
