Updated!!! Let the raffle begin Updated!!

The following people agreed to purchase a ticket for the raffle previously:

TBK PAID
Al35thsc PAID
35thsc
Jim D.
Jacsxr7 PAID
Gone14s
SCyaltr
Hwycoper

If I dont have at least everyone listed paid (thats 8 people and I really need to sell 15 tickets for it to be worth my trouble) by the 21st I will be cancelling the raffle and refunding anyone who did pay their money..

Details:

Beginning today 7/28 I have begun accepting payment for raffle tickets for the August 24th Bakersfield California meet. I am organizing this raffle to help promote support and attendance of NorCal/SoCal members and the SC community. The rules to this raffle are simple. To enter and win, you must be one of the following: a member of the NorCal or SoCal chapter or you must be present for the event AND own an SC. Cost of the ticket is $15. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the winner's chapter, however, should a non member win the prize, we will draw another ticket to determine which chapter wins the money. The money may be used by the chapter's head/heads to support the chapter however they see fit.....Tshirts, stickers etc. If you are a NorCal or SoCal member, you need not be present to win, but please, we do want to see as many of you attend the event as possible.

Please purchase your ticket by paypaling the money to:
Paypalorders@BlueTongueMotorsports.com

I must have a total of 15 tickets sold to make this raffle worth while. So far we have 9 people who have agreed to purchase a ticket. The product being raffled is a ESM Quick Change pulley kit.
This kit features a press on hub and one pulley as well as the neccesary bolts to attach the pulley. I will be bringing additional pulleys with me so the winner may choose from stock, 5% or 10% overdrive. Should I not be present, Mandi will have the kit with her to present to the winner. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the racing segment of the meet.

You may or may not need to change the belt, it realy depends on the condition of your tensionor. So to answer your question, theres a 50/50 shot of needing to change the belt.

If you are considered a member by either chapter then you are in fact eligible to enter and win the raffle. A chapter leader must verify your acceptance as a member of course.

Ya right, I have seen more activity from a hermit crab than from this crew! Why do I get the feeling Im not gonna like living in SoCal?? Hmmmm BTW, this whole lack of enthusiasm has help me decide to skip attending the meet. Perhaps you guys may want to arrange something for Sept 28 or 29th. Ill certainly be in town that weekend.

Well, Im certainly not moving to Cali for SCs, to damn hot. As far as activivity, I meant just what I said as it is the absolute truth. There is such a lack of enthusiasm and energy in this chapter that I am truly amazed. With such a low effort level would you want to support the community or live there for that matter 2TonSuperChicken? Try looking at things from an outsider's perspective for a moment. If the entire state is lacking enthusiasm in something they say they love and enjoy, how much fun could it be to live there? Makes a person wonder.

Not to be a jerk or anything Paul, but you sure are pissy, to say the least, about this whole raffle thing. Truth be told tbk took it upon himself without asking any of us anything to go to you for a raffle. So you offered out of your good will and some of us said we were interested. Some of us sent you money and others dont have much surf time due to actual work, families, working on their sc's and other hobbies they have, so they never got around to it. I'm sure we all appreciate your offer but there's no reason for you to get pissy about it and start talking smack about stuff you know nothing about; our members' participation. Send everyone their money back and forget about the whole deal if it is going to be such a problem and or waste of your time. A word of advice though, Next time, seek to understand, then to be understood before you go posting stuff that some of us find offensive.

Hope there's no misunderstandment as this wasn't an attack on your character or person. And thank you for your time, and offer.

al

PS I got the blower stuff yesterday, thanks.

Well SHESH! This is just sucking! I never expected a response like this.

1) I'm sorry I brought Paul into this .
2) I'm sorry I brought SCCoSC into this.

Next time I'll just keep my mouth shut and not try and introduce people and/or beg for the raffle.

Now, I'm not sure if we can still muster the 15 people or not. I'm sure there are several people who have not responded who are interested....

Our message board died when the SCCoA pulled it's move crap. Unforunately we have not survived it too well. I have attempted a move to another board, but it doesn't seem very successful so far (at least my new board is up 24-7 for everyone to post on).

*throws his hands up*

I give up!

Yo tbk, no disrespect to you either bro. Sorry if it sounded like I was putting the blame on you and no you do not need to shut your mouth. Truth is we are just very disorganized lately because people have been falling through for the meets and a lot of the members' cars are busted so it is hard to get them out of the garage and in front of the computer. Thats what I meant by Paul jumping the gun and saying he has seen more action out of the hermit crab thing. He has never met us or has never been to our meets so it is a bit unfair that he judge us like that based on one aspect of the club. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the REAL CLUB isn't on this bbs, its out in them garages and will be at Bakersfield.

As far as the bbs goes, yeah we did lose alot of participation because of the whole move bs. But now with the addition of another bbs I think it is adding to more confusion. I think after the meet in Bakersfield if enough people go, we can finaly get organized and make decisions as teams instead of making decisions on our own and having everyone not know ~~~ is going on.

Bringing new people in is what its all about. I know Mr. Bluetongue has a good reputation, if not the best, as an SC Parts Salesman/Distributor and that doing the whole raffle was a good idea. But, not if it was gonna mean that people were gonna put us down since our cars aren't running well enough for us to be posting kill stories and modification.

Like I said before, participation from both paul and tbk was good and was appreciated. But being put down and adding to confusion before we can get adjusted to this whole change and get our cars fixed isnt (IMO).

respectfully,

al

PS Now both of you's shaddap before I get some Jack Daniels and hook it up directly to your veins!
