Hmmm ... not sure why they're showing a concept vehicle based on a car that's out of production with it's last assembly plant closing up.

Ford is messed up sometimes.

cheers

I seem to recall Ford made a supercharged LX V8 - which it was going to produce in the last year of the old TBird production - in 97. Of course - it ended up not happening.

Still - as they like to supercharge things - even the Jaguars - maybe someone is trying to make a case for a more potent version of the NEXT T-Bird - whenever that takes place?

Thunderbird is a well established Ford "name" - and which they will likely be using soon again.

My impression was that this last T bird was not very successful.

Maybe the next one will be more supercoupe like ?

The 3.9 V8 used in the 02 - 05 was a Jaguar based engine. In some Jag models, it was available in 4.0L form with a supercharger rated at, guess what, 390 hp. I'm thinking that Ford has "borrowed" a Jag SC engine to put together a snazzy concept.

Thumbs up

I was interested in buying a 2002 when they came out but the price was rediculas , and the Mustang was faster , so I orderd the mustang.. If this is fords Idea of a Idea Of an SC ... I perpose the mn-12 worshipers design this car with out the chance of blowing head gaskets ... ;with a truely sleak design, and a price that is affordable
