I went over to the AHDRA (All harley drag racing association) a couple
weeks ago. The track is in the best shape it has ever been. They
VHTed the track after each pass of the two fuel class's. almost
every other pass was a new record. Best MPH was 230.+

I also went over for the NHRA race. the track was in great shape during
dial in Friday plus saturday. They kept the track coated with VHT.
But Sunday they only treated the track in the morning. the tracktion
went south as the day went on. a lot of cars just went up in smoke.
To bad they didnot treat the track as they did for the Harley racers.
But it was a great show any way, but there could of been a lot more
new records beeing set with track treatment.

I live 78 miles from the Madison.Il. St Louis In Racway. I have not been able
to get around the track for a few years now. My friends & ex-fellow racers
from the Harley drag race commuity ask for me to make sure I made it
to the H.D race this year. They got together and gave me a little
electric shooter so I could make it back and forth between the track and
pits. It is really great to know there are nice caring pro-racer's in the
HarleyDavidson drag racing ranks. I don't see this type caring behavor
from to many SCCoA posters or SC Thunderbird racer's.

I would have gone over to Gateway to see the races, but we went to the Dayton meet instead. I ended up watching all the eliminations on ESPN yesterday afternoon.

I went to the NHRA race, to meet up with freinds and get feed-back
on parts. I parts sponsored B.Taft and his bike, pro-Mod H.D.. Taft is
the electric injection TB tuner that he developed for Jr. Pippen's
NHRA Pro-Stock bike. Jr. got in, but beat himself out the first round,
Jr. pulled a red light. Jr. has been running 7.100 not fast enough
for a NHRA win. Jr. needs to take off .200- to get a Walley.
But they are doing verying well with the new parts development
for first year full NHRA tour.

Hard to meet old freinds and take care of buisness without being there.

That great you made it there to the H.D race bet that electric scooter its neat and fun. Your right the drag race family are far differaint than the SCCoA poster and racers. I was at Pomona with Ken Dondero that drove Dyno Dons P/S Maverick going through the Pro Stock pits talking with the drivers. Dennis Baca knows a few Harley T/F bike racers he said there fun to be around and have some serious power. I would like to see a Harley T/F bike race bet its wild

It was nice to see the #4 Force red shelby stang car with the new FORD BOSS 500 motor make it so far in the finals.

The motor looked real nice with the blue anodized aluminum block .
Had a dall blue chrome look.Nice!! I wish Ford Racing products
would start selling a Ford Hemi motor that could be use for
race/street use.
