Suggestions are welcomed!!

I am new to the Super Coupe scene. I own a 1989 Red Supercoupe with 118,000 miles. It is totally stock and I was wondering what upgrades should be done first. I would love to hit the 300 to 350 hp range.

To get into that horsepower range reliably, you'll need a new engine. An expensive one. And a driveline to back it up. From what I've read here over the years, it's a never-ending cycle. I keep my cars stock, so this is not first-hand info. You can do some searches and get a pretty good idea of what it takes.

Personally, if I were inclined to do a modified SC, I'd build a modest 351 and drop that in.

to hit 300+hp your looking at about 3-5k. search the forums for about 2 weeks before you even start. educate your self. you'll save money that way.

this is a package I'd recomend but like others have said replace your exhaust or you will end up with a blown head gasket

have fun and do plenty of reading. Magnum Powers makes some cool stuff and so do others on here.

Bad exhaust isn't the reason head gaskets blow.

But as said you do need to check the motor. Maybe do a leak down test, compression test and check the oil pressure.

without going too in-depth... Exhaust, intake, heads, cam, fuel system upgrades, a better blower, and better intercooler will get you well over 300 rwhp (depending on the heads and cam).
