Some pictures from the 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour

We had a blast on the HRPT this year. It was surprising how many people had positive comments about our cars at each of the stops. Definitely a good time despite all of the bugs that our cars got covered with when driving back home.

The bird that pooped on David's car....it actually built a nest on the rotating arm at the car wash.

Two shop vehicles at Lane Performance hospitality stop.

Saw this cool thing in Champaign:

A nice sleeper:

A Buick with a Viper drivetrain:

Some shots of us driving to or in Madison:

Heading to Miami, OK

This guy was practically standing on the brakes to keep it from running someone over....too bad it was a trailer queen:

The GTO I may have run back in Milford:

A cool truck:

Better have a good cooling system, we were greeted with traffic like this at most stops.

Rolling to Stillwater:

At the Kicker stop:

A clean Yugo that still survives:

Sweet! Thanks for sharing Kurt.

Something about the Buick w/viper motor is awesome to me.

Hope I can join the tour sometime!

I didn't realize they made those "Durangos". My dad and I were thinking about making a Ranchero-like car with the Futura, being it had the lines for it. Neat!

Yes, since everyone had "secret" mods they were unveiling on the HRPT, I decided the biggest mod I could do have get my hood painted. The amount of fiberglass work required to make it fit right was ridiculous and the paint was only 7 days old when we started the trip. It needs to be buffed again and I've got two rock chips already, but like you said it is much nicer. Thanks

Heading into Covercraft's factory

Leaving Paul's Valley, OK (we couldn't get out of Paul's Valley fast enough )

Heading down US 77 (it had a nice winding stretch that was a lot of fun)

A WWII Memorial at a rest area on I-35

We arrived at the Arlington show field and found this amphibious vehicle.

This truck was awesome. We talked to the owner/fabricator for quite a while.

Nothing seemed sketchy about this stretched PT Cruiser with a blown big block in it.
