In search of.........

I will be in the market for an SC at tha end of the year( will have some bills paid off lol) and i have a few questions...First what year car would be better? I am leaning towards a 93(tho i would like to find a 95 due to it being rare)..A friend told me to stay away from the 89 model due to first year of production and they lack the brakeing system of the 90s models??...Also what can i expect to pay? Im not to concernd with mileage if the car is in good shape and been maintaned BUT ihope to find a rust free car as it will be a daily driver...I also would like something with not alot of mods...Again it will be a few more months and even then i am willing to wait it out to find a good car...I would rather have a good starting point....Thanks in advance ,,, AWESOME SITE you have here!!!

Any year is fine...depending on who you ask. The main thing is having a membership here!

The 89-91 cars had the "undesirable" antilock brake system. While it is complex, I think the performance of the system itself is better than the later vacuum-boosted models. Just my opinion.

I think if I could choose, I would want a 93-95, but no matter the year, a southern car would be ideal.

A 93 with the motor out of a 95, the Mustang GT PBR upgrade, and a good rebuild of the AOD or a 5 speed.

That would be probably the best combo out there.
