Another New best

Went to Milan Dragway yesterday (11/04/09) for the last test and tune of the season but this time with my automatic 94 SC. This car ran a best of 13.9332 @ 97.35 mph with a 1.969 60' back on 11/10/07 and hasn't been to the track since until last Sunday when it ran a best of 13.8209 @ 98.48 mph with a 1.9089 60' and temps in the low 50's. I wasn't quite happy with that because I thought this car could do better so I went back yesterday with the intent of doing a couple things differently and pulled off a best of 13.6833 @ 98.64 mph with a 1.8561 60' and temps in the mid to high 40's. I'm definitely happier with that E.T., especially with the mods this car has. Here's a list of things I've done to my 94 SC since the 13.9332 pass back in 07. Actually I did all of these things starting last spring except the PBR's which were done spring of 08.

2002 Mustang transmission with J modded valve body.
Dirty Dog Performance 11 ¼" torque converter.
Blower case ported to Magnaport 1 spec.
Fan on stock intercooler (finally after all these years did it last week..owned the car since 94).
H&R lowering springs.
89 SC rear swaybar
Trac Lok rebuild (new clutch pack).
PBR duel piston front brake calipers.

Since the trans and converter install it shifts shy of 5000 rpm so yesterday I ran the rpm's up to about 5200 by manually shifting and didn't load the converter up so much at launch. It seems like it helped. Anyway, I don't think that's to bad for a stock long block automatic 94 SC.
I don't know why the date and time on the time slip is not accurate...I've noticed that a lot on Milan's time slips but it's definitely from yesterday 11/04/09.

those are some nice times.

you'd be real mad if you had my car and only ran 14.7 with everything

i see that u ran a 13.9 @ 97mph. so that gives me some hope

Thanks guy's. My goal was to get it into the 13.7's so I was stoked when I saw the 13.68. And ya, these cars really do love cooler temps. Between an 80 degree summer day and a 40 degree Autumn day my SC's are like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I like it when there like Mr Hyde the best.
