So I would imagine that an equally powered Bird Vs. a Corvette with equal gear ratios and tire height should in theory have the same tope speed. Pretty Kewl!
C5 Z06's run around 3170 lbs and most dyno stock around 360 but some as low as 340.

Impossible to have the same power if you stay with a 3.8 SC motor as it has alot more torque.

As stated above, before I owned it went above 175 on a GPS when it was around 320 rwhp and that car weighed in around 3950 with a half tank of gas. I'd love to see what a 400+ rhwp SC with a M5R2 and 2.73's could do.

In my younger days with bolt ons and 2.73 gears, 255/50/16 tires, I used to run 3rd to 110 mph, shift to 4th and bury the 120 speedometer, and then run it up near 4000 rpm and god knows how fast that was, but NONE of my friends cars could hang on the highway. I had the fastest car in my high school for top speed. Pretty close on the 1/4 mile with only a 6-speed LT-1 Z28 beating me by about a car length.

Now with the 3.27's and more power, I'm not sure what it would do, but I am not very interested in finding out. My license and security clearance are worth more to me than bragging rights from a highway run and a gps readout.

What's stock cut off of an 89 5 speed? I was cruising at 80 and meet a gto got it to race me put in third romped it went to fourth held it down after it topped out speedo for awhile it cut out like a speed limited on a newer car. So I put it in 5th still did it so I let off and let him pass me. Lmao pulled four car lengths on him til cut out tho. Just curious if it cut off for a reason. I love tc's and sc's lol.

Your car is only limited by rpms it doesn't have a speed limiter.
