Re: A/C took a dump
Derek, ford recycling has them in good shape. Problem is they are a little spendy. You might be able to get one a little cheaper on the classifed board. FORD recyclers number:916-635-2222 Once you get one ask Hilldog if he can charge it for you. Kurt Sr |

Are you sure your compressor took a dump? Bryan |

Re: A/C took a dump
Yes I am sure. I've been a mechanic for 26 years. ASE master certified. The compressor spins free with no resistance.Has no compression at all. Ive seen this many times on fords. Money is just a little tight, that's why I wanted used. I don't trust most rebuilts. When I had my shop I would only use new. Derek |

Re: A/C took a dump
Derek, I don't know if there is a part that would fit, but you might see if you can get a newer R134 system from a recent model Ford and put it in there. It might be cheaper or easier to find than a 90 SC compressor. And it would certainly be cheaper to charge up! |

Re: A/C took a dump
thanks Rob. Mine has been retrofited to R134a. You don't need to change compressors to make the change. Derek |
