Again, another Rad post.

Alright, Ive tried to deal with this one myself but its only lead me in about 5 different directions, my problem is last summer i had my rad re-cored, the dumbazz's didnt replace the rad drain plug, or fitting in the tank, on my rad the actual fitting is round, no hex head on it to take it right out of the tank.

I went to crappy tire and bought 2 replacement fittings, but of course i cant remove the female end of the fitting out of the rad, because well there is just no possible way, so in attempt to use the male end in the my existing fitting the wing nut on the ~~~ has busted twice, and both are pooched..

what have you guys found for a replacement? or is it my basterd of a tank the only one like this?? let me know

Well if it's like mine you will have a hard time geting the niple out of the end tank since it's welded in.

Bruce...

I don't think you'll be able to fix that. I've tried in the past on other rads and had zero luck. Just leave it alone (as long as it's not leaking) and disconnect the lower rad hose in order to drain the system.

well it wasnt leaking but stupid me, if i see it needs to be fixed i fix it...looks like ill just take it to work and tig it shut completely, I never even use it to begin with, only use the lower rad hose, I dont have time to wait for over 3 liters of anti freeze to drain out of a 1/8 NPT hole
