St Louis caravan returns

Well, after a rather enjoyable drive to St Louis, I'm home. Ed N and Andrew W are staying here tonight. Randy and Connie, along with Ken S. and Dave W continued toward their homes. Tony S and Micah and Tonya also headed their way, as well as splitting up with the Neiberts once we got to St Louis. Highlights of our drive, included an Equinox and a Grand Prix that will hate Super Coupes forever. But, it did make time fly

No, I don't remember the guy's name that won the MPIII, but it was somebody that went to the Shootout (as it should have been).

Well finally made it back home around 6:00pm Wed. (our time) after a stopover in Madison and spending the morning watching Dave D. work on Marc Petillo's tranny. I'd like to thank Kurt and Jen for putting us Canadians up for the night, it was a long trip so we greatly appreciated the opportunity to break up the trip. Gotta come back to St. Louis sometime for some more Imo's... Mmmmmm!

I'd also like to thank Dave and Connie also for putting us up for the night and Dave sorry about trying to teach your son to say "eh", he'll grow out of it.

Thanks also goes out to Tony, Dave N.& Kathy, Micah & Tonya, Ken, Dave, Randy and Connie for the company/entertainment on the way to and from OKC, it was a lot of fun. We'll see you guys again soon I hope.

Glad you guys made it home safely. Did you get a change to go up in the Arch or visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

Kurt, we checked out the Arch, skipped Cleveland.

As Andrew said, thanks to you and Jenn, and Dave and Connie, for putting us up overnight. Great fun to hang out with all the usual suspects again, as well as some new faces.

cheers
Ed N.

No problem Ed, you guys are welcome to stay anytime.

Did you actually go up in the Arch or did you run out of time?

Oh yeah we went up, impressive structure and view from the top, learned something new in regards to the history and symbolizm. We got crammed into the capsules with 3 shall we say largesse folks, I was squished into the corner like a toothpick between watermelons. The door closes and this guy named Forrest of all things announces he has claustrophobia, I say GREAT he's gonna go postal on us in this tiny confined space. So I start talking to him to calm him down and his companion starts cackling like a hen, I poke Ed in the side and say we HAVE to thank Kurt for sending us here.

Forgot to mention Dan Sly and his dad was also part of the group heading down, from talking to his dad he sounded like he was pretty impressed with the whole weekend experience.

Don't forget guys anytime you're in our neck of the woods no motel room will be required.

Ken, great to see you and Dave again. Too bad your cars weren't able to make the trip. Thanks for the help with the blower pulley swap!!

Kurt, we did go up the Arch. Rode up in the little capsule with this big claustrophobic guy named Forrest. Pretty tight fit with 2 of the 5 people being oversized. LOL

cheers

Kurt and Jenn...thanks again for your hospitality. Ed and Andrew...glad to see you made it home ok. I'm not sure I'd ever do the "drive straight through" thing ever again. I felt like death Tuesday morning. Thanks again to everyone for making last weekend awesome. I won't be able to look at an Equinox anymore without cracking a smile.

Dave

You guys are welcome to stay here anytime, although unless Ken improves filming skills, he might have to sleep outside

Next time, bring your car!

As long as there's Mario Kart, I'll be there.
