Track Opens tomorrow.

I'm gonna try to break outta the 15s at this damn high altitude track. I ran a 14.6 in OKC only to come back here and get a 15.3 last year. the elevation is about 5300 ft. It's already in the 60s here but hopefully I can get a cool, early morning run or 2.

Good luck. A 14.6 was a tenth or 2 better than I thought I'd run today. I'm at 1100' though.

OKC is around 1100' also. I felt quite a difference just driving around town there. I got a couple psi of boost and more vacuum. Here, it just feels like a slug. It's only 10% humidity today so there's no air density.

I had a bad day. It ended up being about 70*F outside. I ran my best time at this track of 15.2 on my first run. On my second run my car had to be jumped in the staging lanes . Then after a weak burnout I proceeded to putt down the track at about 10 MPH and had to turn off. My alternator cooked itself before blowing a fusible link and wasn't able to run the car. So I pulled the alternator in the pits and ran to checker auto to get my free replacement (it tested dead). I threw the new one in and had the same problem. Then I noticed that the fusible link had broken by the starter relay. So I twisted the wires back together and electrical taped it and drove home . 2 days later when I was done being pissed at it I went out to the garage and re-spliced the 3 small wires at the end of the large alternator cable so it works now. That cable is the most ridiculous engineering feat I have seen on this car yet.

Tough luck Jeremy. My track does not open until the 12th of May, so I have like 2 months the have the Cat ready. Race season is short up here, need to make the most of it.

There were 320 cars racing opening day and a lot of sweet cars. I missed all the action and had to go home early.

Jeremy, Don't feel bad..that is a good ET for your car at that alitude.
Bandamere, in Denver is like 5600' and the best my 94 SC (mostly stock) best ET was a 15.8 from what I remember. The best the 92 has run there without the AR was a 13.86, when it dynoed 340rwhp. I think it will run 13.0-13.2s with the AR.
Again,a 15.2 is pretty good at 5000+ ft!

At Julesburg 3500'(Our Home track) the best the 94 ran was a 15.2 with my son driving, where it usually runs 15.6-15.8.
Michele 5 spd best is 14.7 compared to the 14.3 it ran at OKC.
The 92 with the AR, best is 12.42 as compared to the 12.17 in OKC
Our first T&T day is May 6th.
I hope both you & Dave are still considering coming up to Denver for "All Ford Day" in June-July (need to find out the date for sure)
I've been talking to Dave D. about coming out for a Chip/tune/dyno day the day before as we've done before. We'll make a weekend out of it as usual.

Jeremy, Michele said she would like to see Jessica again.
Dave S , what do you think? still going to make it? You need to meet some of the Mile High crowd! Jeramie S, Ron, Brian, Glen, Mike,Tony & others.

I still think its funny how many of the low elevation crowd don't want to run up here cause there cars are slower, but when you pair up with a N/A car like a stang you can whip it. SUPERCHARGERS love high altitude, N/A cars don't! New 05 stangs only run 15.5 at Bandamere....whats that tell you?

Todd, Nice to hear from you again. We'd definately like to come up there for all Ford day. Keep me posted on the dates or where I can find them. I really want to either get a 5 speed bird or get this 5 speed swapped in that's sitting in my garage. It needs to be rebuilt. The new stangs are in the 15s here too though I don't think the drivers are the most seasoned.
It would be cool to hang out with you guys again so keep in touch. My email is in my sig.

-Jeremy

Jeremy,
June 23-25th 2006
Heres the Event schedule for Bandamere, FORD DAY...June 25th 2006
http://www.bandimere.com/events/even...hp?eventID=132
Michele or I will likely run the 92 SC in the PRO FORD or PRO STREET, class if it can run the dial of 12.99, Should get there as it ran high 13s last year & its about a full sec quicker now, with the AR.
As for everyone else, they usualy run the street class.
Some of the NE guys may come to this as well.

Don't forget thats a Sunday, but we will be gathering Friday Evening to Hang out & Saturday for the Dyno/Tune session.
Let me know if your gonna make it.

Dave S., Are you still considering coming down for this event?

Chris, I'll look forward to seeing you again. I'll keep you informed as time goes...but You can be assured Dalke will be here as I need some tuning on a second car as well as possible changes pending on the 92.
