My 95 Super coupe with 4.6 DOHC running

I finally found some time and got the swap done with help from my brother Mike. Here is the short video of first start up on my 95 SC with 4.6 DOHC engine.Engine is coming back out shortly as I'm building forged 4.6 Dohc with 03 cobra heads.

Streetfire link - 95 Super Coupe- first star up after 4.6 dohc swap.

Putfile link - Click here to watch 46-DOHC--95-Super-Coupe

and here is the picture of what I'm building now

Good idea on the Pampers. They can absorb oil leaks!

That's a cool project. Rod (Racecougar) is doing something pretty similar, actually.

Can I ask why you did the swap. Wouldnt it been just as much building the 3.8?

Sometimes it's fun to be a little different.

My SC spent 90% of its life in my garage ,I was working on the car all the time and every time I took it out something else broke.I've worked almost on every piece of that car and replaced alot of parts.Just to name few :blown head gasket, bent rod, burned magnecor wire that I fought for a while and couldn't find why the car wasn't running right, all kind of sensors, broken synchro blockers 3 times. After I broke my drive-shaft and a trannie at the track I decided to sell it or try another set up.I saw what my brothers car can do with little work to 4.6 dohc engine I kept the car and swapped 4.6 dohc in it.I had so much fun and it was a great car while it was running right. It's gonna be a super coupe in spring time again,it'll only have 2 more cylinders ,3 more cams and 20 more valves

Thanks Thomas
How is your blow mark running? Me and Mike should be going to the track in few weeks. He has to finish up his exhaust and we're also waiting for colder weather.I'm starting to built my other Teksid with forged parts shortly.

It's running pretty good, except I think I hurt the trans on Friday. It might have to come out for a full rebuild, and I'll upgrade the TC while I am at it. Otherwise, I have a Snow Meth kit ready to go on. I also will be upgrading to a SCT Big Air MAF as the L-MAF I am running is pegged. I also plan to install a Vortech Mini-Race Bypass to eliminate any compressor surge. I'll just have to see how much the tranny is going to cost me if it really is in need of a rebuild.

If you happen to end up with an extra Cobra crank or come across a good deal, keep me in mind. I have a spare Teksid sitting in storage, and wouldn't mine finding a Cobra crank for when the time comes.

Thomas
