How much to pay for used stock SC heads?

How much would you expect to pay without shipping for a good set of used stock SC heads?

I paid $80 for a set once. Didn't work out well though, I traded them to a guy for some ET Streets and he said the machine shop junked them. Both had cracks.

It may be worth it that if you are going to buy a set you work out with the guy some kind of warranty, or insist they be pressure tested before you buy them.

you have to understand, people never know if they are bad or not until they are cleaned and pressure tested, and a machinist starts to look at them. You could have pulled heads off a perfectly running car, but once you clean it and pressure test it, you can find a micro fracture here, a porous section over there. Yah just never know, even with your own stuff.

Ok, I did not know that. So I can pay $80-100 for a used set and it's basically a crap shoot. Thanks for the info

Yes $100 for a good set. BTW, I have a set I could be persuaded to part with.

I have two sets... one from a known good car, and one from my SC. Let me know and I'll get them out to you.
