65 Thunderbird

Earlier this year I traded my 5 speed sc for this 65 bird! It had no brakes but front end was rebuilt and it had new tires, it also has a 351w swap from a 1970 mustang and a c6 instead of the fordamatic. The brake lights and turn signals did not work. Matt haub reverse engineered the system with modern relays and sequencers! I also used moder. Relays on the power windows to get them working again. First thing i did was converted to a dual res master cyl and new booster, made all new nicop lines and replay e dall the rubber hoses. I also upgraded to a hei distributor. It's running a performer rpm intake and a 650 edelbrock eletric choke carb. Runs great! Future plans include new door seals, new seat skins an aod swap and 3.73 gears (3.0 now) I'm enjoying the hell out of this car and put 1700miles on it this summer ! I also ran a 200 mile road rally with my son navigating and had an absolute blast! These cars are way way cool and way ahead of their time!

Very nice! I a few years back I had a 66 which is the last of that generation. They are a great cruiser for sure, good job on the master & booster upgrade which is something that I never go to on mine before selling it. Loved the monster front discs and calipers these cars had as OEM.
