Modifications: | I've been through 7 SC's, "Elvira" was my first.
Since April 2001, she's been my test bed for the SC/XR7 parts I make so no particular setup. 202,000 miles so far, heads have been off somewhere during the past. Basically a stock longblock that gets beat on every now & then.
Best ET 15.56 at FFW in Baytown, TX (close to sea level) on a typical hot Texas afternoon. |
Drivetrain
Modifications: | Replaced motor mounts with solids from AutoZone, $23 each, about 30,000 hard miles on 'em and doin' fine.
Front u-joint went, wiped out the tailhousing a few days before tropical storm Allison hit the Texas coast. Thought I was gonna drown tryin' to fix it. |

Eibach Pro 2" springs
235/55/16's on all fours
Drives straight, steers like crud when parkin'. |
