Yeah, I live in THE deadest region for sc's. I put it for sale on the local ads, and I'm tired of turning away dummies that don't even know what it is. I've had a few people inquire about the car here, but they must be just kicking the tires because they never respond :confused:

Been awhile since i've visited the board. Still have an sc'er over here in Beaumont. Mine still sits in the garage waiting for a new starter and alt. Just dont have much time between work, family, and school. One day she will ride again. The group has thinned quite a bit in the last 10yrs.

Oreilly alternator

Well it seems the under drive for the alt is killing them. Second one fried today. I don't even drive car much. The car is stock, no stereo system or anything to pull a big load. I got them from SCP, the aluminum set to neutral balance the BHJ balancer. Anyone else have this problem? I tried...

The new starter came with that wire already connected to it and I had to cut off the old connector off and crimp them together. I guess I need check the new wire where it meets the starter and see if its making good contact.

I wasnt sure if there was relay i missed somewhere besides the one in the fuse box

Car died at lowes the other day. Wouldnt even try to crank. Battery was charged. Pulled it home and installed new starter. Started right up but when I tried to start it again yesterday, I turned the key and it just made a clank noise. Just one "clank" everytime I bumped the key. It started on...

About 6 yrs ago I was clocked at 136 mph in my 94 by a Jefferson County Sheriff patrol. I was playing catch up to some friends that left a few mins earlier. I caught them at a price:o.

Have had good luck with Oreilly one. New not reman.

I changed the fluid not too long ago and check it periodically. It stays full. I guess a deeper pan would help this?
