Don't know the year as I bought them second hand and never asked. The one says Motorcraft - F3SE-8B274-DD The other says Motorcraft - E9SE-8B273-DE By graphics, do you mean the printed numbers? Or do you mean the painted on lines by each connecting end?

This is such a pain. I feel that I am just messing up the threads more. Someone told me to take off the radiator, bumper and ac condenser to get at it easier.

So clean up the threads I have. Check. By this you mean using a tap though right?I don't see any other way to clean up existing threads short of taking a small tool and trying to make the indentions more prominent. I think I am, once again, making the job a bigger deal than it is. I guess...
