Buy a speed cal from Dallas mustang, it's around hundred bucks and can correct for any gear ratio.
I ran my car with 4.10's 8 tooth output shaft and the speedo gear for 3.31's and wass able to correct without issue.
Charles
The 03's may or may not have the correct shaft as it was a running change for that model year. As for the convertor I gave away the one that came with my 03 model trans but from what I could tell from his car it stalled little if any higher than stock.
Charles
I would also suggest more stall, however to make it live in an AOD car you are going to need more rear gear. Your cruise RPM needs to be at or above your stall RPM or you are going to create excessive heat in your transmission. Actually since you seem to like all things electronic you should...
You need to read a little closer. The 12.48 you mention is my car and the time was run with my home ported 95 blower and stock IC with around 320 hp, the 2.0 AR is listed as future plans and not on the car yet.
Charles
S2000's generally run 13.7's to 13.9's at around 97 to 98 mph stock, certainly not high 14's as long as the owner is willing to beat on the car.
Charles
Just curious what others with the Brembo Cobra R's are using for replacement pads and rotors? My pads and rotors are pretty much done so post up what you are using and where you got them.
Charles
He has a cam so 10 in of vac isn't that low and if it has a bad enough vac leak to have zero boost the car most likely wouldn't idle at all. The only way you should see no boost is if the blower isn't turning or the rotors are totally fubar'd and moving no air. Blower top, IC leak, bypass...
Brian my family and I are ok however many people weren't so luck and as I said in another post I am 90 miles from the coast so those who live at or near the coast are the one to be concerned about. Here are a few pictures of my neighborhood to give you an idea of how things are, keeping in mind...
Yes Corey I should be installing new engine and blower in the not to distant future and then retire the car from daily driving. Oh and the Canton tank while nice didn't have any fittings in the correct locations for me to be able to use them so I had to add my own.
Charles
David i think all of the pictures that I had before installation were in my old laptop which has recently died. I think if you search E-Bay you can find pictures of it, however I made a few modifications to make it work for me.
It started with 4 inch tubes that were straight out the front so I...
Well since I won't be making it to the Shootout again this year I guess I will post pictures of my latest mods. My liquid to air I/C is fully functional however I am still planning to hook it up to my A/C using the Kincaid Killer chiller to keep it really cool while cruising around.
Charles
The storm definately wasn't any fun and even though I am about 90 miles from the coast the eye came right thru here and pretty well plastered us. Our local power generation station is expected to be out for around 3 weeks and then local lines are down everywhere so who know when we may get...
That's odd because here were the storm actually hit the one and only station that you could buy gas which was using a generator to run the pumps was selling reg unleaded for 3.58 a gallon the line however was a mile or so long.
Charles
David sorry to hear about the engine but as you know it's just part of the game, if you want go fast you are likely going to break things from time to time.
Oh and by the way your Ike pictures are just downright weak, when I get a chance I will upload some pictures from around here. We have...
Please explain how you believe that the engine will run fine without a belt but when the belt is on it won't run well sounds like the crank sensor is bad.
Charles
The crankshaft position sensor is not the problem, if it were bad taking the belt off wouldn't change anything, the crank pulley turns with or without a belt being on the car. The only way I can see the belt having an affect on how it runs is if the balancer has come apart and the load from...
Do you have oil leaks? If the front seal leaks it can get oil on the crank sensor which will then cause dirt and crud to cover the sensor possibly causing your problem. My 95 would loose tach signal, the engine would die for a split second, and miss at higher rpm all because of a dirty crank...
Goals for 2008! Install built engine, install new 2.0 AR, tune new combo, open bottle valve, be politely asked to leave Houston Raceway Park. Seriously I don't have an ET in mind, but I believe low elevens or better should happen this year.
