    35th 'anny' goes for $13,000!

A low-mileage (9,000 mile) Anniversary car went for $12,900 at Barrett-Jackson recently! Great! Let's keep the value up on these cars!

Well, my SC is now in the hands of a new owner....

Sad to see it go, but I have sold my 35th anniversary SC. After all the hoopla of getting it painted and the aggravating extras that go along with that, I just didn't have the room for it. I am building a Factory-5 Cobra this summer and the room (as well as the cash flow!) will help a lot...

    Bad DIS symptoms?

I took the SC out for a spin today, and did something that it has only done a couple times before over the last year: The engine will start to randomly 'buck', herky-jerky like some kind of ignition defect while just cruising. I just take my foot off the gas and coast for a few seconds at it...

Very Nice 35th anniversary for sale-Florida

Follow the link, buy the car, have some fun! e-Bay Item number: 230209088258 (sorry, don't know how to post a link. Just copy and paste this number in the e-Bay search and it will come up.) I HATE to get rid of this car, seeing as how much work I have done to it recently. But, I have too many...

What the heck is a 'Tuscani GT'?

I've seen a few examples of what is obviously a rebadged Hyundai Tiburon GT with 'Tuscani GT' badges on it? No Hyundai or Tiburon nomenclature to be found anywhere on it.Is this a factory car? A 'tuner' car , maybe? Possibly a Canadian or Korean-market only version? Anyone know?

    My car appears on TV!...

This week's episode of 'Two Guys Garage' featured my car on it. No, not the 35th Anniversary Super Coupe, but it was a Ford: My 1971 Mustang Mach 1, 429 Cobra Jet w/ Ram-Air. The car looked great on TV, I think. Plus its just cool to get your ride on national TV.

    Starter relay tech question...

When I try to start my 35th (automatic), the starter relay clicks firmly, but the starter won't engage. If I just keep trying it back and forth several times, eventually, the starter will operate. The clicking sound was a clue to me that the relay was working, so I assumed the starter to be...

an annoying thing about my SC....

Has anyone noticed the extreme reach required to grab the door handle when closing the doors on our cars? I have to lean so far forward to grab it that the seatbelt gets in the way! Anyone else have this problem?

Typical new vehicle pet peeve #752:

There are a lot of little things that annoy me in life...the acceptance of mediocrity is the root of most of my grief. One of the the things that has bugged me since the mid seventies is how sloppily applied the decals are on most factory-assembled vehicles. My neighbor has a brand-new...

Transmission Line Routing for Trans Cooler

There always seems to be someone asking which tranny line is in and which is out, but no-one ever seems completely sure of the answer. Well, I installed a trans cooler today, so I found out: At the bottom of the radiator, the passenger side tranny line is the return-to-transmission line. Hope...

My car: On 'Two Guys Garage'!

Sam Memmolo, the host of 'Two Guys Garage' is a friend of mine, and he recently asked me to have one of my old cars make an appearance on his show. I was only too happy to oblige him... They had a '71 Challenger R/T there that they were doing some door-panels on as a promo for 'The Paddock'...

    Suggested modifications?...

I'm looking to get my 35th up to around 300 or so reliable amd durable horsepower, and with a healthy increase over stock torque too. However, I really want to keep the whole appearance as 'stock' looking and sounding as possible. What is the best combo of mods and parts that will give me the...

    Something is really bugging me...

...and it's those stinkin' love-bugs! This is after only 1 HOUR of driving! I had totally cleaned off every darn bug-splat right before I took to the road. It's like someone is standing on the side of the road throwing paint on the car. The bugs hit so fast it sounds like getting shot with a BB...

    My 'power' is back!

OK, with the new transmission in, the car is back to running great again. 250 miles before the tranny went out, I had a pair of hi-flow 'magnaflow' cats installed where i had previously removed the originals and put cat-less downtubes on. Not only did the cat-less 'Flowmaster' exhaust set-up...

    All Time 'Dream Cars'?...

What are your all-time favorite rides? I mean your 'All Time' fave, not just your current favorite. Mine are, in this order: 72 Pantera GTS (I have, waiting to be restored) 71 Mach 1 429 Cobra Jet) I also have 70 Challenger R/T convertible BMW 633/635/M6 A/C Cobra 427 S/C 73 Trans Am SD 455 70...

    Oil cooler...?

I was underneath the car and noticed the oil filter base plate is part of an oil cooler. Where do the oil lines run to? I can't see any oil cooler up front anywhere, and the lines appear to run of towards the rear of the engine somewhere.

'35th' participated in first car show today...

Got the freshly-painted '35th' all cleaned and polished up, got the glass all sparkly, vacuumed and shined up the interior...and it was off to her first official car show. About 150 cars, although there were lots (way too many) new Chrysler LX-series cars(300/Charger/Magnum) there...mostly...

    tranny cooler line question...

On a 90 SC, which of the two tranny cooler lines going into the bottom of the radiator feeds fluid into the radiator? And, when mounting an auxiliary trans cooler, is it better for the fluid going into the cooler to feed into the top fitting and work its way down through the cooler to the...

35th is off to the tranny shop...

Well, the recently-painted 35th 'annie' car is off to the transmission shop. It always shifted kinda sluggishly since I got it, and last week it started to slip a little in O/D. Then O/D went out on the way home one day, so I drove about 30 miles in 'D'. It was 'taching' pretty high for that...

    George Barris:Dethroned...finally!

Halleluah! I have been complaining for years what a freaking rip-off artist George Barris is! He built three wildly succesful TV cars (Batmobile and Munster's Coach & 'Dragula'), but he has taken credit for nearly every other 'TV and Movie' car that has come in the meantime. I own a...
