I agree with you.. I will definitely be passing on the 3.8 V6.. and the 5.0 for 11k.. I might give it a few months and see if he'll come down in price if I'm still looking then.. doubt they'll sell it so fast.. Have you guys heard of the Davey Allison Edition 5.0 T-Bird..?

California is too far for me.. I'm near Ohio.. Traveling out there would be an expensive in itself.. But I agree.. 11k is too much given there are electric issues.. and I've decided to completely pass on any 3.8 V6..

And both sellers are solid on their prices.. Neither are even considering accepting any kind of offer below the asking price.. I picked apart the 93' 5.0 with the electrical issues.. and the seller isn't interested in discussing it any further.. So 11k for a 93' stock 5.0 LX.. and 6k for the 97'...

Yeah, I wasn't planning on doing any engine modifications right now.. that's too much for me to get into right now.. Just looking for a solid clean start for a T-Bird.. brakes, suspension and tune ups are no problem for me.. but I don't want to be messing with engines or transmissions right now..

The pictures are not in HD.. The car definitely needs detailed.. I don't see much wear on the interior.. but it does stink.. smells like cat.. but I didn't see any stains.. The finish is decent.. I don't know if I'd go as far as to say "Mint Condition".. It might look better after it gets...

Spindles in good condition may be a pain to find.. Do you think just upgrading the front rotors, pads and calipers and leaving the rear drums for now would cause any issues..? Or cause the breaking to be off balance..

Did it have drums all around - or just the rear? What all did you have to do to switch them to discs - do they still sell the parts to do it..?

I think I'll take a look at the 93' V8 first.. and go from there.. Has anyone had any bad experiences taking one of these things on a road trip immediately after it's been sitting..? I'll have to drive it back 200 miles if I do end up getting it..

What about parts availability with that engine vs. the 3.8..? Unless I'm wrong I read they stopped making the 302 in 2001.. but the 3.8 fuel injected V6 has been used extensively and parts availability is not even a concern with them..
