Power seat that will not move backwards only. Seat moves fine forward, up, and down. Anything I can do to troubleshoot this or is the motor dead? There does not seem to be any power at all when going backwards so feel it is not jammed or stuck. I want to say it used to go slowly before it died...

From a heat gun it looks like the low speed is coming on at 160, which is probably been set in the QH or BE. I'm not sure if it was a loose connection or something, but so far it seems back to normal. Would rather have something break and be found then magically go back to how to was. I'll just...

I'll give it a test with the gun. The cap is new. I tested the coolant for exhaust gases and none was detected, so HG should be good. Usually the temp gauge stays left of N so this was definitely hotter than usual.

The engine was past M in NORM and once parked the overflow tank was boiling, so pretty sure it was almost an overheat situation.

Had an almost overheat situation and noticed no fan was coming on. The ECU is set for 180 degrees and has a 180 degree thermostat.

No A/C on this engine, so can rule that out ;). Wires/Connector look good. Was surprised how easy it was to disconnect, so potentially a loose connection. Just seems odd that would be the case without any work been done in that area. To double check the IRCM is in front of the air filter...

Rerunning the KOEo test, I do see the fan spin momentarily then kick up to the high speed. Should I expect to see a full spin up at the low speed before it jumps to high speed?

Both kick on when direct wired. So what else controls this?

Anyone have a procedure to troubleshoot a no low speed fan condition? I have done the KOEo test and I see no movement of the radiator fan at low speed, but it does kick up at high speed. I have swapped the IRCM out for a known good unit and the same problem persists. What other options for...

Yes these were on a 90 with auto belts. The pod goes over the existing a-pillar so it may fit other years as well.
