Use a left hand drill and bit and it usually just turns right out easily, a bit half the size of the broken bolt, I raised the car and went underneath. I think I removed the rad fan
Have you replaced the harmonic balancer yet? Mine did that and I replaced the balancer and crank sensor, not saying that's your problem cause everyone had their own type of experience with these cars.
When I had same issue it was my idle control valve had carbon build up, replaced it and all was well. Not saying that's your issue but they cheap enough to replace easily.
