1990 Thunderbird SC Interior Inquiry

Does anyone have a recommendation for cleaning and conditioning the suede seat inserts on a 1990 Thunderbird SC 35th Anniversary Edition?

I purchased a suede cleaner from a shoe store that you mix/dilute with distilled water that works well.
I use the brush that came with the dealer kit to lift the nap(1 direction only). I have the bottles in the the kits
also, but I'd be afraid to try it after 35 years. Sorta smells like vinegar-not sure its supposed to?

I also purchased a combo conditioner/ScotchGuard to apply after the cleaning.
