Well it's october and I'm starting to think about how I'm gonna miss my SC Calendar on my wall at work the coming year. Is anyone working on one for 04?

I'd love to see a calendar of SC's in action. Drag, autocross, rollin' down the highway, dirt track, skiddin' sideways, splashin' water at the beach, bein' chased by cops, even Jugzilla racin' Pro Street Rich at a million miles an hour on their way to a galaxy far far away...

Well, the 2003 was made by one of the members that was doing it for a school project. austinxtreme512 ended up selling his t-bird in december of 2002 and talked about 2004 calendar at the time. but I don't think he has been around since.

you might be able to track him down. if anything, for just ideas if someone wants to take this on themselves. getting good High Resolution images in the right format is a struggle.

2004 Calendar

I can get one put together, if there are enough people that want to have one. I am also trying to get a TCCoA calendar going but it isn't going anywhere at all. I cant get the ok to use the logos. If there are enough people that want one I would be glad to put one together. Obviously everything would have to go pretty quickly and smoothly. I would have to have picture submissions in no later than the 15th of this month, and serious interest in getting a calendar. Of course the more orders I get off of this the cheaper I will be able to get the calendars made for. Just let me know either on here, through TCCoA (same nick), or by email cmcconkey@catt.com.

I'd pay $20 for a calendar and it doesn't hafta have magazine quality pics either. Just get some scans from various members at a somewhat high DPI and shoot 'em into the computer at your local copyshop and presto...They can print it and do the spiral thing to it and you can ship 'em out to buyers.

That is, if it's action photos like Ed's car doin' the roadrace thang or Wizenheimer's car leavin' the line or XR7Dave doin' a burnout etc etc etc

These will be high quality professionally bound calendars. I have 15$ in mind for the cost on these, this will include shipping. Let me know what you think. Also if this could become a sticky it would be great. I will be on a very tight schedule on these so lets make it happen.

They will be far from a piece. They will be printed on a million dollar professionally run printing press. Also I have been doing graphic design for 5 years now so I have gotten pretty decent. ;) I will be getting some messages out to some other club members about getting a new thread started and getting it made a sticky. If anyone has any questions I will be online all night and will be checking for more posts, so please ask them and I will answer them pretty quickly.

I'd be in. On the condition that Gary's launch photo is in there. ;)
I love that picture! Got some hi-res digitals I could send in when that starts.

I would be up for a $15 or $20 Calendar. There has to be a pic of Gary's launch in there. Maby make a collaged (sp?) background of pictures for the actual calendar part of it and have a large picture on the top part.

I'd be in for whatever the cost. Heck, I bought 2 last year. The hard part is going to be getting the pictures. I don't hink there will be enough time for everybody to vote on the pics like last year. This will have to be done by committee or executive descission.

Calendar

I do know that we are pressed for time. I will keep everything moving as quickly as I can on this. I have already sent a message to the addresses in the contact info for the site. I am new here so I don't know who I need to get a hold of on getting logos and permission to use them. Any help on this would be great. Also any help on deciding what photos will be used in the calendar would be great, also I would need to be contacted by the owner of the vehicle to let me know that it is alright to use their car in the calendar, I don't want any problems of that nature popping up after it is printed and delivered.

SCGUYS@sccoa.com is likely the best way to get ahold of anyone. George Davenport would have to authorize logo use. Last calendar wasn't SCCOA specific, just SC Tbird/Merc specific.

Nick Hertlein's 1994 Opal Frost bird is over my desk right now.

As always, the catch will be getting decent pictures in time. Not everyone has a decent scanner.

The best way to start this is just start accepting photo's. Tell the people what SIZE photo, and in what DPI you need the image. Maybe a minimum DPI.

Then tell them what format you can accept, and where to send it. See how many you get, then maybe make smaller versions to get some club input on pictures to take, throw. Then there you go.

Count me in for a calender. I've got a professionally done launch photo from Atlanta Dragway to contribute if no one minds my dull door.

I too have last year's hanging in my office. A few requests for the next one-

1) Include the month previous and month after on the current month (tiny, in the corner, most calendars have this)

2) Include some addtional holidays/special days (i.e. Election Day, Daylight savings

You can use these images to start:

I will get one. Might get several if there is a lip on bottom to advertise my company.

You must put Ed's car on there if not more than once. Those pics of his cornering look GOOD with the new wheels/tires and the 97 hood set up. Wish I had made some. Please make them action pics.
