Hello Guys and Gals,

Just as the title says we will be holding our first 'wrenching day event' at 35th's Auto's house in California City.
We have almost two (2) weeks to think about what our SC's need, make a list, and get all the parts needed. Let us also do some research on our projects so that when arrive at 35th's house we can make the best of our wrenching time.
Also, this is also to help all of our SC's be ready for the Fabulous Fords Forever Event!
So, I will start the name list along with what projects I would like to do. Add your name and your projects;

1) SuperCoupe007
A. Replace All Vacuum Lines
B. Inspect A/C (Possibly re-charge it)
C. Replace Headlights
D. Reseal Front Parking Lights
E. Inspect Motor Mounts (Double IC rubbing on hood)

I'll come out, as it's not as far for me as most folks who are further away. Can't say that I need to do anything.

Zip code 93505

I will have shade/sheltered spots to park & work on the cars. I have Air conditioning parts, refrigerant & gauges on hand. Floor jack , stands , ramps & such. I can polish up head lamps & find/fix vac. leaks on the intakes.

There is a pizza place here & a few other food joints. Autozone & Napa too.

Anybody ever take a dash apart? I have to change the odometer gear in my cluster and I've read how much of a pain the dash is. I wouldn't mine some help

The whole dash? I have removed the instro cluster & it is not bad , no dash removal for that. Do you have another speedometer unit to replace?

Well in that case my project just got easier, yeah just the instrument cluster, I'm not gonna change the whole unit just the gear that records the miles. I was gonna order the gear from supercoupe performance

I will have to pay attention when you do the cluster gear swap, as my odometer stopped working recently. Wonder if it is similar to the gears in a Chrysler cluster, as several of the clusters in my mopars the odometer has stopped working and I know they have a gear that breaks.

Sounds like a lot of fun and not too far from me. But I will not be able to make it cause I have to go to my gf family b-day out in Simi Valley. I'll try to get out of it :p I'll see what happens. Post pictures

The more I inspect the SC for things that need attention, the more items that I have added to my own list of tasks :p

Looks like I will be needing gears for my odometer to, but I will just learn from Slater. Oh!!! We should take a video of Slater's gear replacement process and then we could share it with anyone when they have to do the job! Slater, if you wouldn't mind it would be cool if we could record it, or at least maybe take some pics.

Well the time is almost here and I am gonna start loading up the SC with tools and equipment for our first wrenching meet!!!

I think the most difficult step is knowing where to locate the speedo needle when done. I remove the tripodo reset shaft so the needle can rotate to a relaxed position and then mark where it rests - just be gentle with it at all times. Practice on a spare if you have one you don't need.

That will help ,

9609 village parkway

california city 93505

as you drive into town you will see the golden arches M Mcdonald's

you can turn at the light before or drive past & turn right at the street

once in the residential area 25 MPH & you will see the cars.

THere will be a wood picket fence & a double gate with a drive , pull on into the back yard.

Hey 35thauto,

From what time to what time do you think would be good to turn those wrenches?

OH BTW Guys:::: I think my wife will be joining me, so if you guys can/want bring your significant other along. :D

UGGHHH!!!! Looks like my DIS Module went out. I was driving on the freeway when all of a sudden the cluster was showing 0 RPM. The VAC was moving, but very limited and it was bucking like a wild horse when I would press down on the gas pedal.... :(

Looks like I will be scrambling to find a spare DIS module so that I can make that trip tomorrow.

whitebird:::: Key your phone handy cause if it starts bucking or dies. I might need a hand
