5.0 CL find

That Bird looked in really good condition. The exterior color reminds me of my 1990 T-Bird with a 3.8 NA that I had.
Even though there are good aftermarket parts, and cheaper, I stay loyal to the headache SC :p

Headache is right. A little after posting this I bolted up my freshly ported early model blower nice pear shape outlet trimmed up inlet with coated rotors and a 10% pulley and mashed the pedal on quiet side street...boy was that fun for about 10 seconds. I developed a slight misfire and saw the magic white smoke that makes your car run exiting my tail pipes by the time I got back to my driveway. I knew full well this was not only possible but likely and i had no business doing it but you see... I have a condition. I have to learn things the hard way. The car was running fine but I had to beat on it. At least I now have an excuse to finish porting my spare heads...(see condition above). I did think for a second a donor 5.0 wouldn't be bad with a 5spd and 3:55 already in the car. And should be smog legal if done right but that's out of my budget which is zero right now. That's supercoupin'

AHH!!! You addded a smooke screen so whomever is behind you can't identify you :D:p

Sorry to hear about your recent condition. But as you said, it gives you a good excuse to port those spare heads. I would suggest looking into installing bigger valves. But DEFINITELY you should consider upgrading the valve springs!

The good thing is that once you have all the parts and gaskets at hand it would be a good weekend project

yeah. it's decision time...ARPs or TTYs..3way valvejob on my existing heads or take in my ported heads. pull the bottom out or leave as it. This can go from $300-$400 to a couple grand pretty quick.
