Alternator options

Looks to me like Ford source a Mitsubishi alternator (meaning different Regulator and Rectifier) for the SC, what would stop us from swapping to a normal Ford 3G alternator and moving the 8 rib pulley over?

The 94 Mustang 130A Alternator looks like an option
 
The 6G alternator is a bolt in replacement, but requires a new wiring connection. I believe the 3G alternator has one of the mounting lugs in the wrong position to fit an SC accessory bracket.

This post has lots of info for doing the 6G install. By the way, after a couple years I removed mine and went back to a stock SC alternator.

6G alternator ?

I've heard a few people mention using a 6G alternator on an SC. What does that alternator fit (what car/motor) ? What needs to be done to the wiring and mounting on my 91 ? David
