Build Input - '94 5-speed

Hey All,

So I'm in the process of accumulating parts in an effort to fix up my '94 5 speed SC. The general objective is to turn it into something that handles well, has some extra 'oomph' and is comfortable to ride in. Hoping to be in the 300+ RWHP area, but doesn't necessarily need to break any records - functionality would be preferred over maximum performance (want to keep A/C for example).

Phase #1 is to renew/upgrade the suspension by replacing bulk of the bushings, since they're toast. Also upgrading to the mustang hubs for better brake and wheel options, and have lowering springs + rear sway bar.

Phase#2 is the engine stuff. I'm interested in your guys' feedback on some bits I'm likely missing here. I've included below a list of the stuff I've already purchased, but curious to know if you have any thoughts on things that you believe to be important I'm missing?

Specifically curious:
* Thoughts on need for an upgraded intercooler?
* What size injectors do you think are appropriate here?
* Would it be worth it to have the supercharger rotors sent away for the abradable coating?
* The C&L MAFS didnt come with a sampling tube - any idea what the appropriate one would be/where to get it?

Engine stuff I already have:

* MP SC w/ MP Plenum
* 10% SC pulley
* MP 85mm TB
* C&L 80mm MAFS
* SCP 3.5" Fresh Air Inlet System
* Kooks Headers
* 2.5" down tubes
* SCP 3" High Flow Cat-Back Exhaust System
* Griffin High Capacity Radiator
* Battery relocated to trunk

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

If running the Griffin radiator, you will definitely need a front mount intercooler setup, as the full width radiator won’t work with the factory intercooler position. The coated rotors is definitely worth it, it makes more boost with less heat and less overdrive of the blower. Only thing I would change is ditch the C&L MAF. They are not “calibrated” as they advertise, and tuning it can be problematic, especially if you are tuning yourself, since you won’t have a good base transfer function to start with. Run either a 90mm Lightning MAF, or a slot MAF from a newer Ford.

Appreciate the post, Mike! Are you positive on the Griffin radiator making it so the factor IC doesnt fit any longer? This is the first I've heard of it.

If your griffin is SC specific like the one SuperCouper Performance sell's you would be ok. A full length griffin you would need to run a front mount intercooler.
