So There, youngsters. Oh no there I go being childlike!

I think I may have moved into a different bracket since this thread was started. This one has been around for a minute or two!

My dad is the original owner of my 1994 AOD. It currently reads 46k on the odometer, and was just painted last year. This is my first car, and boy am i learning all the hype about working on these, although after a while you tend to get the hang of it. It currently has:

70mm bbk tb
3.5" CAI
73mm MAF
Complete Borla exhaust with high flow cats

Its awaiting the following (should have all parts by summer 2013)

5% SC Pulley
5% JS pulley
Double IC
Eibach 1.5" lowering springs
Thicker front and rear swaybars
#42 Injectors
255lph fuel pump

Im 18 years old and use this car as my every day car. And while gas is a killer ($4.30 for 93 octane ) its worth every penny for all the looks i get in this car.

18-21?

i got mine when i was 18 days from being 19 had it for little over 2 years
im 21 and hope my junk becomes reliable soon it likes to break stuff :(

I'm 45 and I got my first XR7 when I was 22. At the time I was driving a 62 Falcon, so it was quite an upgrade! At first I didn't even drive the car because I was so much an awe that I mostly just looked at it.

That was a long time ago!

I still have that XR7 today. It has over 250K miles on it now but still looks decent.

I bought a brand new off the lot 1995 SC 5sd in 1995 i was 33 then. I had to sell it because i could not afford it due to slow times at work
Now i am a member of the old farts club and own a 94sc 5sd and a 95 sc auto.:D

17,and though it wasent properly equiped to go full throttle:rolleyes:or had ic tubes that would last under boost, and a failed transmission. i love that damn thing and after i get out of basic for the marines...the build will begin !!

i am 18 and never rode in one till the day i bought it, after riding in my sc i knew i am a sc person, and i cant wait to learn so much more, and get faster and cant wait to meet everyone at the shootout!!!!!

Life long owner in the making

I am 20, got a 4.6 XR7 from my mom when I was 15 :). Always loved the car, then I went to look at a 90 super coupe 5 speed some one was selling because I loved my cougar so much. As soon as it melted through 3 gears during the test drive, I had to have it :D. I still own both and will for the rest of my life! I can't wait to meet everyone at the next shootout!

I bought my T-Bird SC exactly a month ago and I haven't driven it yet... It'll be a real treat once she's all fixed up to be a daily driver :)

I bought a 60K mile rust bucket 8 years ago when I was 45, never drove it, had the engine rebuilt and will be putting that into a completely renovated SC this spring.

Along the way, itching to drive an MN-12 I bought an 96 LX V8, drove it a while sold it and bought two SC 5-speeds. I also have an SHO that can go out on a road race track and not break.

I love what Ford did with the Tbird SC and the Taurus SHO during the 89~95 period.

I'm 32 and bought my sc in 05 with 86k it was a garage kept one owner trade in and do to a major pricing error I bought it for 2900$ I believe it only has 105k on it today. I was always really picky about it never let anyone eat drink or smoke in it. Never has it been on a gravel road or driven in the snow. And it's always been garaged (with the exception of now it's sitting in front of my garage lol) I knew nothing about sc's and saw it at a car lot I drove past everyday. I stopped in to to look at it and the guy tossed me the keys and said "be careful that. Damn thing is fast!" I took it for a drive and fell in love e first time I floored it! Well I didn't have e 4900$ they wanted but I sure kept thinking about it! Couple weeks later I drove by and it said 2900$ on the windshield ! I stopped in and told the guy I'd take it and had to go find some money! I asked why the r educed price? He said "what are you talking about?" when I told him that he had dropped his price by 2000$ he about had a heart atack! Apparently the guy that washed all his cars had mixed up the price of the sc and a geo tracker sitting beside it when he put the prices on the windshields. The guy was honest and told me he'd honor that price not a penny less if I could come back with the money in 2hrs! I ended up going to the bank and having to use my crappy Honda and my crappy truck for collateral because the load value on the sc was like 1500$ lol my wife was pissed that I bought a car without talking to her (until she saw it lol)
