Hello all, I'm just trying to find the right brake booster for my 92 SC. Here are some pics of my old Teves brake booster and my booster I purchased from O riley's. The bolts dont seem to line up.
All right. I want to switch my ABS braking system to Conventional. What would I have to do exactly? 90 Super Coupe (Car sat for 4 years not prepared to pay exorbitant ::cheapskate:: prices) The donor car is a 91 Low Line Thunderbird. Thanks
If what you have has now is a hydroboost system. Not
sure what kind of mess your going to get into trying to uninstall
it & removing it from power steering system. Not sure how they
would've tied into it?
Thank you guys for your help, here is a pic of the hydroboost. It has only 2 lines for the brake lines, both fronts were connected. I have a mechanic that's willing to help but I just want to make sure I tell him the right spot for the vacuum line it's right here right?
Yah, that hydroboost's not anything most folks here will know anything about.
But yes, that 3 post booster fits in 3 of the holes the Teves fit into. (Or maybe there's a plug for one of the bolts, not sure, don't remember, but the TBird booster from the LX bolts right in.)
I just did a oil change and I noticed that the return line to the power steering pump was kinked from a coolant hose. I disconnected it and rerouted it and I noticed it helped out alot. I might just keep it the way it is.
