You figured out the poor mileage? Please update us with what you found.I figured out the poor mileage is there a way to check the radiator I’m sure that’s a huge possibility
I scanned with obd1 and it does not read period I had the orileys guy do it and that might not sound right but this guy is a different breed when it comes to cars so I trust him I will look into it again forsure though
Disconnect the battery and yeah the key just spinsI'm a little confused now? You couldn't shut the car off, the tumbler/cylinder just spun, how did you shut it off?
You replaced the key cylinder & It still just spins around?
The guy at the shop told me I have a fuel leak which makes sense on why it goes so fastYou figured out the poor mileage? Please update us with what you found.
So what should I do change the yellowish ignition switch with wires coming outYeah that's a very common issue. Most commonly it's the switch where the wires are coming in will start to separate. That piece is located on the side of the column just behind the key switch
Where is the fuel leak .. not something to take lightly , I am assuming its internal ie injectors not closing properly or possibly the regulator diaphragm , if it was external you would be losing enough fuel to make it incredibly dangerous to drive .The guy at the shop told me I have a fuel leak which makes sense on why it goes so fast
I'D BE CAREFUL WITH WHAT YOUR TOUCHING in steering colunm if you are not familier with the car & or it wiring!! ANYTHING YELLOW IS USUALLY FOR AIRBAG SYSTEM. Take it to another shop(since the last declined to work on it) & let them deal with fuel leak, rad & ign switch. Good luck though.
Is that picture not the ignition switch I mean I’m pretty sure all my research has pointed me in this direction I’m not just taking shit apart and not knowing anything I can use google lmao I’m asking because I need to fix it I can’t drive it anywhere because of the problems and I don’t have a million dollars to spend on it so I’m doing the work I need somone to tell me what I need to do bc all of you seem to be familiar with it more than I that’s why I’m here I’ve read and read about it it’s just better to have human inputI'D BE CAREFUL WITH WHAT YOUR TOUCHING in steering colunm, it doesn't sound like you are familier with the car & or it wiring!! Pretty sure I’m familiar enough to read from forums and figure stuff out it’s not like I do zero research before askingI'D BE CAREFUL WITH WHAT YOUR TOUCHING in steering colunm, it doesn't sound like you are familier with the car & or it wiring!! No offense intended. From your inquiry, I thought maybe you weren't sure what the switch looked like.( but you have pics). When you said yellow, I thought maybe you were looking at something for the SRS. My appoligies & good luck with your issues. So what should I do change the yellowish ignition switch with wires coming out
Your posts are getting confusing , you said that it guzzles gas when you drove it , if its got an evaporation style leak and it was going threw a significant amount of fuel then you would have a very strong raw fuel smell , if its got that kind of raw fuel leaking or fuming out from anywhere its very dangerous .I haven’t been driving it the fuel leak is from Me changing the fuel pump I believe it’s evaporating out I’m trying to fix everything before I go drive it but thankyou for your looking out for real some people do need that
Hey so I changed the cylinder and switch no biggy but above the switch the hole that moves it back and fourth does not move with the key so I need to actually switch out the rod or whatever the plastic is on the inside to make it workNo offense intended. It’s obviously dangerous I know this that is why I’m working on fixing it yes it smells like gas we are past the whole airbag thing it was the ignition switch I was talking about not airbags or whatever I installed a new cylinder and ignition switch the plastic between the cylinder and switch is what is broken I have a clogged rad and a fuel leak I ordered a new rad I’m tracking down the fuel leak now I need to change a piece of plastic in my steering Colum if oh could give me a pointer in the right direction taking the steering Colum apart to get to the plastic bits between the cylinder and switch that would be awesomeYour posts are getting confusing , you said that it guzzles gas when you drove it , if its got an evaporation style leak and it was going threw a significant amount of fuel then you would have a very strong raw fuel smell , if its got that kind of raw fuel leaking or fuming out from anywhere its very dangerous .
The air bag module system capacitors will hold a charge and possibly still fire after battery is disconnected , if you are messing with wiring and not sure what you are doing , disconnect the main connector to the air bag .
KOER is Key on engine running. KOEO is Key on engine off.How do I read the codes if it won’t read on the orileys scanner I’m not familiar with koer or koeo what is that
