car is 93 manual and has been running good. its summer in fl. and i wanted to charge up the ac to make it more pleasant to drive. i was driving ac was putting out cold air when i heard a clicking or popping sound under the hood . i drove home and lifted the hood and it looks like my ac blew out some freon/oil out of the check valve on the compressor. anyway i cleaned up the engine bay and when i tried to start the car it would not start. cranks good but does not seem to be getting any fire. what the heck is going on.

Oil spraying back on to the coil or DIS module did something? I wouldn't think so, unless a lot got into the one of the plugs & thats causing a bad connection? More likely while you were cleaning it something became disconected or pulled out, since it ran & you were able to drive it home after the initial issue with the refridgerent/oil discharge
